ORA-C is the alias of Caroline Pham, a jewellery designer based in Montreal. Since 2015, the artist has taken an experimental approach to creating small quantities of handmade pieces in modern and bold shapes. Her work is easily recognized for its organic forms, as well as for the use of natural stones collected over the years. The floral patterns are represented by fingerprints pinched in the texture of the metal, and unconventional shapes are carved with stones of all kinds. Her ongoing exploration of the medium stems from her self-taught approach and fascination with artifacts from bygone eras.
This beautiful piece distills an expressive and special dreamlike quality, mysterious in every aspect; at the end of a thick chain with large links, a big textured medallion inspired by the poisonous oleander flower.
